The business strategy of the Professio Energia Group is focused on three key pillars of diversification:

The Group focuses on developing and acquiring wind, solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, combining organic growth through its own greenfield developments with inorganic growth through acquisitions. This enhances operational flexibility in responding to market prices and grid tariffs, while maintaining a strong focus on the long-term value of its assets.
By integrating these technologies, the Group will further strengthen its resilience to seasonal and market fluctuations and position itself as a comprehensive provider of renewable energy solutions - from wind and solar power to advanced energy management systems.
By implementing these strategic initiatives, Professio Energia strengthens its resilience to market change, increases the share of renewable energy in the national energy mix and actively contributes to the European Union's climate-neutrality goals. Sustainability is integrated into every level of decision-making, with ESG principles serving as a key tool for risk management, transparency and long-term competitiveness.
During 2024 and 2025, the Group further strengthened its strategic focus on technological advancement and digital infrastructure. Cybersecurity standards were enhanced, while operations increasingly rely on real-time data to improve project performance management and regulatory compliance.
By expanding into battery energy storage systems and forming partnerships with corporate offtakers through virtual power purchase agreements (vPPAs), Professio Energia is building a strategic advantage in emerging market segments.
Business model
The Group operates primarily in Croatia, while actively developing projects and expanding its business across South-East Europe (SEE). Its flexible market strategy supports expansion into markets with strong renewable energy potential and growing demand for long-term offtake arrangements. The Group's contractual partners currently include corporate customers from a range of sectors.
The Group generates revenue through several routes to market for electricity generated from renewable sources, depending on the project and its stage of development:
PPA
Standard power purchase agreements.
VPPA
Virtual power purchase agreements.
ELECTRICITY EXCHANGE
Sales on the organised wholesale market (e.g. CROPEX).
FEED-IN TARIFF - FIT
A guaranteed feed-in tariff scheme under a PPA with the Croatian Energy Market Operator (HROTE).
A PPA provides the buyer with greater energy security and supports the achievement of ESG targets, while enabling the producer to plan revenue more effectively and reduce exposure to market volatility. Under the feed-in tariff scheme administered by HROTE, all electricity generated is purchased at predefined prices. This provides revenue stability, which is essential for long-term planning and investment repayment. Long-term agreements with private offtakers, by contrast, define delivery terms, the price per unit of electricity, market adjustment mechanisms and, frequently, the transfer of Guarantees of Origin (GOs).
In addition to our core generation business, we are developing advanced communications and metering infrastructure to enable active management of asset flexibility and commercial participation in ancillary services markets through aggregation.
Business development
One of the Group's key development milestones is its entry into the solar sector through Power Solar d.o.o., the project company for the "Stankovci - Velim" photovoltaic power plant, with an installed capacity of 3.7 MW on a 50,400 m² site.
Another project being developed in partnership is SPP Rudine, which is expected to become operational in mid-2027. This marks the Group's active expansion beyond wind power and further strengthens its presence in solar power generation.
